Every videos creator can remember the feeling of shooting a stunning video, editing mastering and at the end undesrstanding that he needs a cool music to wrap it up.
You sit up in front of computer and start searching for free music for videos and finally found the website with royalty free or no copyright music
Generally this type of music are choosen by people who actually cares about IP (intelectual property). The one who knows what is royalty and how it should be paid.
It might be confused but “free” in internet doesnt mean to be actually free. This terms can mislead people, especially new creators who just step into this feild and looking for music for videos. It is hard to believe but it is impossible to find music that belongs to anybody and have 100% zero copyrights.
The vast majority of music that you will find in fact copyrighted and collecting royalties even on royalty free and no copyright music.
Public domain refers to all works that are not protected by copyright and can be used without permission or without having to pay the original author/artist. Public domain essentially gives free use of the music in however a user sees fits. But to be 100% sure you must confirm that music has creative commons license.
To be short yes you can. But you must be sure that music that you are using does not registred with any contenID monitoring systems like identifyy that could put claim on your video. And if you are using no copyright music from youtube you must be confirm that license type is “Creative Commons“. But you wont be safe at this point either because on youtube you can change license attribute after publishing videos.
So it could be the situation when the creator published music with creative commons license and than he decided to change it to Standard and boom – you’ve just received copyright claim for your video and you can monetize it anymore.
This is one of the most common misconceptions. Unfortunately, this is not true and there is no bright line rule that says a use is an acceptable use as long as you only use 5, 15, or 30 seconds of a song. Any use of copyrighted material without permission is, according to U.S. copyright law, copyright infringemen
So how it works?
1. I am building a large track library where you can find any songs you wish, right now I am adding 8 tracks per month.
3. There is only one rule. If you are making money on youtube I ask you to join my patreon program and cover my expenses for creating and managing music tracks. That is it – more over you will receive 8 new tracks per month and you will be sure that you wont get copyright claim. The cost of program starting from only $1 – its nothing comparing of what you are making in youtube.
